Pixel numbers
The resolution determines the actual size of the image (length x
width). The pixels or megapixels are responsible for how clear the
image is. The more megapixels, the better the image will look.

the number of pixels per square inch on a computer-generated display; the greater the resolution, the better the picture
pixels:
in computers, pixels per inch (ppi) is a measure of the sharpness (that
is, the density of illuminated points) on a display screen.
